“O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.”
The motto of Waldo Baptist Church has long been “The Worshiping Church, Together Exalting Jesus.” The word exalt, in English dictionaries, is defined as “to raise in status, dignity, power, honor, or wealth.” It can also have the idea of praising, glorifying, and extolling. Since we know that we can do nothing to actually “raise” God or His Son Jesus Christ to any higher dignity, power, honor or wealth, we have the delightful duty of “magnifying” as the psalmist wrote, the LORD and those things which make Him and His Son so glorious.
As the scriptures declare that “true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23) it is in this direction that the music ministry of Waldo Baptist desires to lead worshipers. As well, you will find that our song services are arranged to be a prelude of praise to the preaching of God’s Word.
The Lord has blessed Waldo with many gifted musicians and singers who comprise our Worship Choir, Worship Band, Praise Team and individual soloist. Our Worship Choir sings weekly in our 10:00 a.m. Sunday services. Cantata’s are presented each year for Resurrection Sunday and Christmas. Membership is open to all singers high school age and above and no audition is necessary. Practice for the Worship Choir is held on Sunday afternoons at 5:00 p.m. in the Childrens Church room located in the Family Life Center.

“Let the Word of Christ dwell within you, with all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” (Colossians 3:16)
