“These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.”
“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
“But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
The common denominator and source of all God given power for the work of the early church no doubt came through prayer, and it will no doubt be the source of all God given power for any New Testament Church today. Waldo Baptist Church has long depended on prayer as it’s most vital activity for reaching the throne room of Heaven and upon the power of God to accomplish all things through Him. In our weekly schedule of services, you will find several opportunities to unite with other individuals in prayer and fellowship. Prayer meetings are held each Sunday Evening at 5:30 p.m. in the Adult Sunday School classrooms. Our men meet each Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. in the pastor’s office for prayer followed by a fellowship breakfast at a local restaurant. Our ladies meet each Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. From time to time our ladies host monthly prayer meetings at individual homes on Saturday mornings (be sure to check the monthly calendar). Please feel free to join us anytime. If you have a prayer request, or would like to receive prayer requests through our prayer chain, you may submit these requests through our “Prayer Chain & Request” link. If you have any questions, you may call the Church office for more information at 618 564-2180 or contact us via e-mail.
“Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.”
